Simon Deguire

Simon Deguire is an exercise physiologist at the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec), where he has supported several national teams over the years, including Para Swimming, Artistic Swimming, Short Track Speed Skating and Para Cycling. He holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and specializes in performance monitoring, training load management, and data analytics applied to high-performance sport. Before joining INS Québec, he spent five seasons with the Montreal Canadiens (NHL), gaining extensive experience in professional elite sport. At the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, he served as Coach and Lead Physiologist with the Canadian Para Swimming team. Since 2021, he has been leveraging both his scientific expertise and field experience within high-performance environments, contributing to the preparation of athletes for World Championships, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
