Sheldon Persad

Sheldon has worked with athletes across the globe as a practitioner. As a Sport Scientist, he has worked with national and Olympic athletes (summer and winter) from over two dozen different national team programs.  Furthermore, he is National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified in several different sports and over his 40 years has served as a head coach in multiple sports.  He was one of the original individuals who helped create the NCCP Triathlon coaching certification course, and served as an initial course master facilitator.

He is the founder and was the inaugural President of the Canadian Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCA), a co-founder of the Certified Professional Trainers Network (CPTN), a published author, and award winning international conference presenter. He has twice hosted his own national radio show segment, and has taught high performance coaches at two different colleges.

Additionally, since 1999 Sheldon has worked with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (formerly the National Sport Institute Toronto and Canadian Sport Centre Ontario) in the capacities of Lead S&C, Lead Sport Science, Manager Performance Services, Director Sport Science and Sport Medicine, Interim Director Performance Services, Senior Advisor Business Performance, Consultant and serves as a mentor within the Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD) program.
