Meredith Waisman, MScPT, BKin & Nutr, Diploma Sport Physiotherapy, RISPT


Meredith Waisman is a registered physiotherapist with over a decade of experience specializing in sport physiotherapy and high-performance athlete care. She holds a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Nutrition from Acadia University. Meredith is a Registered International Sport Physiotherapist and has earned her Sport Physiotherapy Canada Diploma, in addition to certifications in high-performance sport, functional dry needling, concussion management, and acupuncture.

Meredith has extensive experience working with athletes from grassroots to the professional level. She has served as a team therapist for Volleyball Canada’s National Men’s Program, multiple Canada Games, the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, and a variety of national and international sporting events. She has also supported teams in hockey, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, and soccer, as well as multidisciplinary high-performance training environments.

Beyond her clinical and on-field work, Meredith is an active leader in the sport physiotherapy community. She has held several executive positions with the Nova Scotia Division of Sport Physiotherapy Canada, including Chair, Communications Chair, and her current role as Member Development Chair.

Meredith is passionate about injury prevention, performance optimization, and helping athletes return to play stronger than before. Her combination of advanced training, leadership experience, and hands-on expertise makes her a trusted resource in sport physiotherapy at both the provincial and national levels.
