François Bieuzen started his career at the Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP) in France and then joined the Institut National du Sport du Québec in 2016, where he currently holds the position of Director of Sport Sciences. François has been head of the high performance support teams (Lead IST) and senior physiologist for numerous national teams in France and Canada, and was a member of the Canadian boxing team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Canadian short-track speed skating team at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. He is also a sports science researcher and consultant to elite athletes, specializing in applied sports physiology. He holds a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Toulon, France, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Sherbrooke. His research focuses on training load monitoring, recovery strategies, sleep and injury prevention in elite athletes.
