Alex Hodgins is a mental performance coach and inspiring speaker dedicated to guiding individuals and teams to unprecedented heights. Specializing in the creation of robust performance systems, Alex empowers clients to thrive in high-pressure environments, turning challenges into opportunities for growth. With years of experience alongside some of the world’s elite athletes, coaches, and teams, he delivers evidence-based strategies that transform mindsets and enrich lives.
For eight impactful years, Alex was the Head of Mental Performance for the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team, where he was instrumental in their journey to Olympic success, helping them achieve bronze in Rio 2016 and gold in Tokyo 2020. Today, he brings his expertise to the Vancouver Canucks organization, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Canada’s Ski Cross Team, as well as many other world class performers in the sport and corporate world, fostering winning cultures and training people to perform with unwavering confidence, clarity, and purpose. Most recently, he helped the Abbotsford Canucks capture the 2025 Calder Cup Championship, highlighting his continued impact on championship teams.
Alex received his Master’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2008. Since then he has become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and has a High Performance Certification (HPC). He is also a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Alex embodies the principles he teaches, striving for continuous improvement in every aspect of his life. He is a family man at heart and loves the lifestyle that The Pacific Northwest has to offer.
