Guest Speaker: Danielle Adams Norenberg (Chelsea FC) “A Sport Psychologist’s Reflections from Early Days in a New Role”

Dr Danielle Adams Norenberg is an ex-international swimmer with over 15 years’ experience as a Sport Psychologist having supported multiple medalists at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2021 and as a TeamGB HQ Psychologist in Paris 2024. She is Lead psychologist at Chelsea Football Club. Previously, Head of Psychology for the UK Sports Institute, Danielle lead a team of 26 sport psychologists working across multiple British Olympic and Paralympic programmes. In her work, she facilitates the creation of high-performance environments that support psychological growth in athletes enabling them to deliver optimally when it matters most.  In this session she will discuss her reflections on entry to professional sport, establishing rapport with the client, assessment of client need, and establishing impact for the service.
